We leave for London! And France. I'm so excited about this trip (even though the dollar, and hotel costs, and book prices, and the fact that I've somehow got to score 2 copies of you know what on July 16 in the middle of nowhere, Provence). It has been 5 years since I've been abroad.
I'll be doing research in my favorite library in the world. Seriously. It is so, so beautiful and organized and its search engines work. Compared to Moscow, D.C., and Paris, the British Library is an absolute dream.
And, it also has a Hans Christian Andersen exhibit this summer (Achockablog has covered a lot of great Andersen information this month), so I'll be checking that out in addition to doing work for my day job.
