Harry Potter Everywhere!

Well, I survived the long trip back to Smallville, including 2 hours on the tarmac with no airconditioning and 418 people aboard a 747. My brain cells have been effectively erased by endless questions about 747s, concordes, airbuses, etc. (My four-year-old is truly the last person on earth who enjoys traveling coach internationally.)

Lots of interesting articles about all things Harry today. There's a round-up of the first Harry Potter conference in Britian in The Guardian and an amazing article about enterprising German fans of Harry Potter at CNN.com. Finally, Megan Riley McGilchrist has summed up what is at the core of the Potter books--the boarding school experience--for the International Herald Tribune.
