Nestle Children's Book Prize

Sally Gardner has won the gold medal Nestle Children's Book Prize for I, Coriander. Philip Pullman earned a silver in the same category (books for 9-11 year olds) for The Scarecrow and his Servant.

55,000 children voted for their favorites in three categories--9-11, 6-8, and 5 and under. Michelle Pauli covers the awards luncheon for the Guardian.
