George and the Dragon
Do you know any young dragon fans? If you do, then I highly recommend Chris Wormell's George and the Dragon.
Originally released in Canada in 2002, Random House has now published George and the Dragon for the U.S. market.
The dragon is fierce, strong, and fast. "He could fly higher than the clouds and faster than all the birds....He could smash a castle wall with a flick of his mighty tail." Wormell's dragon is a classical, fiery beast, but one with a secret. When a stranger (George) moves in next door, the dragon must confront his secret face to face.
I'm not one for spoilers, so I'll keep George's identity a secret. Enjoy as a read-aloud to the three-six-year-old crowd.
