A delay and a message to correspondents

Hello, everyone! My arduous trip to the West Coast was more arduous than usual, so Tuesday's BlogReview roundup won't be up until tomorrow morning.

But, guess who was on my plane from CHI to LAX? John Updike! Very, very cool. I was way too shy to approach him, but still. (There's something about that CHI-LAX flight. I've been on, albeit in a very different section of the airplane, with Jodie Foster and Lionel Ritchie as well. Updike trumps them all, however.)
