Girls, girls, girls!

Think I'll get some hits off that title? At least it's relative to the following two announcements:

• Jen Robinson is finalizing her "Cool Girls" list at Jen Robinson's Book Page. Lyra, Laura, and Harriet are in the lead, but you still have time to vote. Head on over and share your opinions about the coolest girls in children's literature.
• Anne at Book Buds is also polling readers. She's looking for "the ONE book you believe no highly intelligent, very motivated pre-teenaged girl should grow up without." I just realized in posting this that I did not follow directions. So, please, place your votes better than I did.
