Weekend Reviews (II)

It is so great to be back and rounding-up the weekend reviews. Here's what's on tap this Sunday:

The Geek, the Greek and the Pimpernel is the Times Children's Book of the Week.

Jerry Spinelli's Eggs is the Washington Post KidsPost Book of the Week.

Sonja Bolle discusses what Harry Potter has done for Fantasy and the MG market in the Los Angeles Times.

In today's not-a-review category is an essay one can term only tangentially related to children's books as well. But, still, I really enjoyed Andrew Holmes' essay on writing with children for the Telegraph. So much so that I will definitely buy his new book, Rain Dogs and Love Cats. A detective who is a new father instead of an alcoholic? Now that's new.
