Don't miss Gemma Malley's (author of The Declaration) top 10 dystopian novels for teens in today's Guardian. I wish Zamyatin's We were on the list, but other than that, it's an excellent top 10.

Good list there. I read another good one lately: Maggie Gee's "The Ice People". The thinking person's "The Day After Tomorrow" plus anthropophagic robots.
Glad "A Clockwork Orange" is there. Personally I thought the film was a pale imitation compared to Burgess's amazing novel. A shame that's what people think of first.
