Weekend Reviews (II)

Whew, it's been a busy weekend. I only now have time to get to the remainder of the weekend reviews. So, here they are:

Liz Rosenberg reviews two new humorous novels for young readers in the Boston Globe--Diary of a Wimpy Kid: A Novel in Cartoons, by Jeff Kinney, and How to Steal a Dog, by Barbara O'Connor.

Cracker!: The Best Dog In Vietnam, by Cynthia Kadohata, is the Washington Post KidsPost Book of the Week

Janet Christie reviews new children's books for the Scotsman, including:
  • The Legend of the Worst Boy in the World, by Eoin Colfer
  • The Boyhood of Burglar Bill, by Allan Ahlberg
  • Aaaarrgghh, Spider!, by Lydia Monks

Marcus Sedgwick reviews Rift, by Beverly Birch, for the Guardian.

Nikki Batalis reviews (and grades) picture books with animal protagonists for the OC Register.

Hmmm...in a strange twist of fate, Nicholas A. Basbanes reviews animal picture books for the Pittsburg Tribune-Review.

Now I have a million reviews of my own to write, so I'm off to work!
